Check home, work and important journeys using the provider’s map and Ofcom’s mobile coverage tool. Distinguish indoor from outdoor predictions and voice from data. Population coverage should not be read as coverage of the entire land area.
Include the phone
Supported bands, software and calling technology affect the experience. A data icon cannot promise a successful call or a specific speed. Building materials, terrain and congestion can also explain differences.
Create useful evidence
Record time, place and which functions fail. Compare a safe outdoor location and another time of day. If the issue persists, those observations help official support decide whether to investigate the account, SIM, device or network.
