01A short history
iD Mobile entered the UK market in 2015. It uses Three’s radio network and keeps its own account management, billing and named plan features.
02What its features mean
Data Rollover and bill capping are defined mechanisms. Find which data moves forward and when it expires, and inspect the cap’s exclusions. Neither name should be treated as an unlimited guarantee.
03SIM-only arrangements
SIM-only airtime and handset packages need different comparisons. Review the allowance, minimum term and compatible calling features before selecting the appropriate guidance category.
04Phones and upgrades
Read the complete handset arrangement before discussing an upgrade. Ask about early termination, return requirements and any remaining device obligation; a number move can affect more than the next bill.
05The monthly account
Match the app’s account dates to the statement period. Local phone counters can use different reset dates. Save confirmation of a plan amendment so the following statement can be checked against it.
06PAYG, credit and recurring packs
iD publishes PAYG material separately from monthly support. Check the pack’s duration, credit usage and renewal method. A monthly feature should not be assumed to apply to every prepaid category.
07Digital SIM and replacement
iD has eSIM-supported arrangements and related setup guidance. Use the route for your device and account, keeping authentication available until the change has completed.
08Bills, payments and extra use
For iD Mobile, place the official statement next to the contract summary. Identify the dates covered, recurring airtime, any device payment and additional services. An allowance reset may not match the calendar month. If an unfamiliar item appears, ask the provider for its category and supporting usage record. A spending cap can have exclusions, so confirm what it controls before relying on it.
09PAC and keeping the number
When moving a number away from iD Mobile, request a PAC through its official process or text PAC to 65075 from a single active line. Check the information returned about the existing commitment. Give a valid code to the receiving provider and let it arrange the handover. Keep access to both SIMs until completion. A replacement SIM, an internal plan change and a move between companies are not interchangeable instructions.
10Coverage, calling and faults
Use iD Mobile coverage and service-status information for the locations that matter. Three host network is background to the connection, not a guarantee at a particular desk or room. Check the handset’s supported calling functions and software. Record whether calls, texts or data fail and when. Reversible checks and a short log help official technical support; this independent website cannot investigate or repair infrastructure.
11Travel and international use
The current roaming list and fair-use limits define inclusive use. Overseas add-ons can sit on the existing plan; a separate travel eSIM is not always part of that process.
12Home internet and connected devices
Before using a phone SIM as a shared internet connection, confirm tethering and acceptable use. Household latency, upload needs and indoor reception deserve a practical check.
13Later changes and leaving
Keep iD Mobile notices about renewal, changed inclusions and scheduled adjustments. Find the date each commitment ends and ask what continues afterwards. Before stopping service, obtain an account-specific explanation of any outstanding device balance and early termination obligations. Use the provider’s cancellation route or the receiving provider’s switching process rather than treating stopped payments as cancellation.
14Account tools and a useful question
The relevant starting point is iD Mobile app. Access it through a genuine provider link and retain copies of important confirmations. Ask: which agreement controls this change, when does it take effect and what remains active afterwards? Never share passwords, one-time security messages, eSIM codes or banking credentials with us. General explanation can be given without taking control of the account.
